Identification of some agricultural characters and allelic variations in oat genotypes using simple sequence repeat markers (SSR)
2017
Çiftçi, S.
This study was carried out with 11 oat genotypes according to the design of random block in 2016 cropping year in Kahramanmaraş ecological conditions. In the research using Kırklar, Fetih, Sarı, Arslanbey and Kahraman commercial varieties and using local lines TL38, TL137, TL139, TL576, TL42 and TL452; agricultural characters are determined such as plant heignt (cm), stem diameter (mm), cluster length (cm), vegetative period (days), grain filling period (days), planting maturity periyod (days), grain weight (g), 1000 grain weight (g), protein analysis, fat analysis and grain yield (kg/da) and molecular analysis were carried out in order to determine allelic variations of oat genotypes with SSR markers. According to the research conclusions, while Arslanbey variety is the earliest variety ith 111 days vegetative period and 148 days planting maturity period, Kırklar and Kahraman varieties has the highest grain yield (516 and 496 kg/da respectively). The number of grains (72) in the highest cluster, the grain weight cluster (13.34 g) and the grain weight (35.32 g) were determined in the Sarı variety. The shortest oat genotype was detected in the Fetih genotype with 81.3 cm while the longest plant length was found in the TL38 genotype with 166.9 cm.While the TL38 genotype had the highest handle thickness (6.17 mm), the lowest handle thickness (3.23 mm) was found in the Arslanbey variety. While the highest protein ratio (18.07) and fat ratio (6.83) were obtained from TL139 genotype, the lowest protein ratio (14.07) was found in Arslanbey, fat ratio (4.72) in TL376 genotypes. TL42 and TL576 were found to be 63% identical in allele and TL38 genotype in 54% with the closest similarity rate to both. Fetih was found similar to the Sarı variety with 55% and it was seen that Kahraman type was the most similar to the two with 51%. It was observed that the TL139 line was 45% simalar to other lines. The mean number of alleles has been detected as 9.16. The vast majority of the markers used in the study had 6, 8. 9, 10 and 11 alleles.
