The enormous transformational power of AI and its radical and comprehensive impact find application in the field of natural resource management and ecosys tem maintenance in protected areas. In this paper, we analyze the possibilities and challenges of the application of AI in protected areas, especially from the aspect of supporting the management of natural resources and achieving sustainability of ecosystems, which are of great importance for local socioeconomic development based on ecotourism.
