Productivity of variable and blue alfalfa varieties in the North-West of Russia | Продуктивность сортов люцерны изменчивой и синей в условиях Северо-Запада России

Люцерна изменчивая (Medicago varia L.) известна как ценная кормовая культура Основной проблемой увеличения площадей посева многолетних бобовых трав в производственных условиях Северо-Запада России является отсутствие адаптированных для условий региона сортов. Изучали адаптивный потенциал сортов люцерны изменчивой различной селекции и различного эколого-географического происхождения. В полевых опытах, проводившихся в Ленинградской области (2013-2017 гг.) и в Псковской области (с 2015 г.), изучена продуктивность зеленой и сухой массы растений люцерны разных видов и разных сортов. Установлено, что природно-климатические условия Северо-Запада РФ позволяют реализовать генетический потенциал продуктивности сортов люцерны изменчивой и синей отечественной и иностранной селекции, как районированных, так новых и перспективных. Наиболее продуктивные травостои формируют сорта Пастбищная 88, Находка и Флора 7. Трёхукосное использование таких травостоев позволяет получать до 60 т зеленой массы с 1 гектара, что равноценно урожайности в 12-12,5 тонны сухой массы. Скашивание возможно на ранних фазах развития растений, что позволяет получать корма высокого качества. В производственных условиях рекомендуется возделывать сорта люцерны изменчивой, выведенные в Московской области, на Урале и в Сибири.

Английский. Variegated alfalfa (Medicago varia L.) is known as a valuable food crop. The main problem of increasing the area of planting perennial grasses in the production environment of the North-West of Russia is the lack of varieties adapted to regional conditions. There was studied the adaptive potential of varieties of variegated alfalfa of various selection and different ecological and geographical origin. In the field experiments carried out in the Leningrad region (2013-2017) and in the Pskov region (since 2015) the productivity of green and dry mass of alfalfa plants of different species and varieties was studied. It has been established that the natural and climatic conditions of the North-West of the Russian Federation allow realizing the genetic potential of productivity of variegated alfalfa and common alfalfa varieties of domestic and foreign selection, both zoned and new and promising ones. The most productive grass stands form the varieties Pastbishchnya 88, Nakhodka and Flora 7. The three-cut use of such grass stands allows obtaining up to 60 t of green mass per 1 ha, which is equal to the yield of 12-12.5 t of dry mass. Mowing is possible at early stages of plant development thereby allowing obtaining high quality feeds. In the production conditions it is recommended to cultivate variegated alfalfa varieties bred in the Moscow region, in the Urals and in Siberia.
