G?ltekin, R.
In this study investigated to effects of different soil water levels on the development and quality of potato tuber under Afyonkarahisar conditions. For the research, field trials established in ?hsaniye-Afyonkarahisar between 2013-2014 years. In experiment was planted to "Agria variety" of the potato plant. In study was used the five different soil water levels (K1: %100, K2: %85, K3: %70, K4: %55, K5: %40) and 5-day irrigation intervals. The treatment was arranged according to the strip plot design with three replications. All treatments were irrigated to field capacity the available water in the 0-60 cm of the soil profile. Later, the systematic irrigation was begun according to the irrigation program. The results obtained from this study, It's possible to say deficit irrigation had significant effects on the parameters of tuber yield per decare, mean tuber diameter, mean tuber size, , marketable tuber ratio, individual tuber weight, tuber peel ratio. In this study, the amount of water applied in deficit level on potato, especially when applied level %40, %55 and %70 of irrigation water are required to bring the soil moisture content at field capacity, significant yield and quality was concluded that the cause.
