Comportamento ingestivo de cordeiros Morada Nova em confinamento.

Resumo: Objetivou-se com esse estudo avaliar o comportamento ingestivo de cordeiros Morada Nova submetidos a dietas prevendo-se dois graus de maturidade conforme o NRC (2007), com ou sem restrição de nutrientes. Vinte cordeiros da raça Morada Nova foram distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente ao acaso em esquema fatorial 2x2, em dois planos nutricionais (maturidade precoce e tardia) e dois níveis de restrição proteica e energética (0 e 15%). Dietas com previsão de maturidade tardia proporcionou maior eficiência de alimentação da fibra em detergente neutro (EALFDN). Contudo, dieta com previsão de maturidade precoce e 0% em restrição de proteína e energia promoveu maior eficiência de ruminação da matéria seca (ERUMS). O resultado observado para a EALFDN na dieta com previsão de maturidade tardia deve-se ao maior teor de fibra em detergente neutro (FDN) desta dieta. Já a maior ERUMS observada tanto para a dieta prevendo maturidade precoce como para o nível 0% de restrição aconteceu devido ao alto nível de concentrado e menor teor de FDN. Recomenda-se o uso de dieta formulada segundo o NRC (2007) com previsão de maturidade precoce com 0% de restrição de proteína e energia. [Ingestive behavior of Morada Nova lambs in feedlot]. Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate the ingestive behavior of Morada Nova lambs submitted to diets predicting two degrees of maturity according to NRC (2007) with or without nutrient restriction. Twenty lambs of the Morada Nova breed were distributed in a completely randomized design in a 2x2 factorial scheme, in two nutritional plans (early and late maturity) and two levels of protein and energy restriction (0 and 15%). Diets with late maturity prediction provided higher feed efficiency of neutral detergent fiber (FENDF). However, early maturiry predicted diet and 0% protein and energy restriction promoted a higher dry matter rumination efficiency (DMRE). The observed results for the FENDF in the diet with a predicted of late maturity are due to the higher neutral detergent fiber (NDF) content of this diet. On the other hand, the highest DMRE observed for both early maturity and 0% restriction levels was due to the high level of concentrate and lower NDF content. It is recommended the use of a diet formulated according to the NRC (2007) with prediction of early maturity with 0% restriction of protein and energy.
