Английский. The objective of this work is to model and to forecast the national baseline of three land uses and analyze their implication for Clean Development Mechanism projects in Costa Rica. In order to determine which types of land uses will be analyzed, criteria related to the Kyoto Protocol and the agreements of Marrakesh were taken into account as well as economic and environmental relevant criteria for agricultural activities. Forest plantations, coffee and secondary forest were selected.

Para determinar los tipos de uso del suelo a analizar, se tomaron en cuenta criterios bajo el Protocolo de Kioto y acuerdos de Marrakesh; y criterios económicos y ambientales de las actividades agrícolas. Se seleccionó plantaciones forestales, café y bosque secundario.
