Traditional knowledge (TK) is a combination of ancient indigenous practices and techniques i.e. folk songs, dances, carvings, etc., locally adapted and distinctive to a community in a particular area. Today, TK has gained increasing recognition in forest management and biodiversity conservation, particularly identification of valuable genetic resources and sustainable forest management.
