Components of variability, heritability and genetic advance studies in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)

Forty diverse genotypes of tomatoes were evaluated for components of variability, heritability and genetic advance for eight characters. Weight per fruit, early yield of plants and number of fruits per plant showed high degree of co-efficient of variation, heritability and genetical advance suggesting their importance of their selection programme of tomato improvement
