Egg production as influenced by population density of Babcock layers in a cage [study conducted in the Philippines]

The study aimed to compare the egg production of Babcock layers housed in cages of the same dimension (12 x 18 x 18 inches) with the number of birds per cage as its only variable. Lot A represented two birds per cage while lot B represented four birds in a cage. Results of the study revealed that two birds per cage produced more eggs than four birds in a cage. A total of 1,769 eggs was laid in lot A and 1,518 eggs were recorded in lot B for the duration of forty-five days. Using the T test, a significant result was obtained
