Effect of KC1 (Foliar application) on the sweeting quality of the "Thai supersweet corn composit 1 DMR"

A study on the sweetness quality of the "Thai supersweet corn composit 1 DMR" was conducted from October to December 1980. Eight fertilizer treatments: 50 kg/rai of 16-20-20, 50 kg/rai of 16-20-0 and 50 kg/rai of 16-20-0 with foliar application of 2.22% KCl ranging from one to five times, were arranged in randomized complete block with three replications. The result indicated that the fertilizer treated corn produced markedly higher soluble solid of fresh kernel than control plants. The influence of fertilizer treatments on growth and yield was not observed in this experiment
