A study of the effect of fertilizers and coconut water on the growth of Cattleya seedlings in 3.5 inches clay pots was initiated in 1981. The treatment with fertilizer and coconut water produced plants with stronger and larger stems than the others which used only fertilizer. They also had more leaves and shoot average number was 10.57 per pot by Cattleya using only fertilizer had an average shoot number of 6.17 per pot
