Vegetative propagation of Yemane (Gmelina arborea) by stem cuttings [teak]

A study was undertaken to investigate the rooting ability of stem cuttings taken from different parts of juvenile stock plants. It was observed that in Yemane, application of hormones enhances rooting ability considerably and to ensure success in the rooting of Yemane cuttings either with or without hormonal treatment, the part of stem which has undergone secondary growth should be used
