Немецкий. The rape flea-beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala L.) usually infests rape fields in two stages. Whereas supervision and pest control is relatively easy and effective in the first stage when the plants are young and leafing out, it is far more difficult to supervise and control infestation in the second stage. The course of the infestation and the development of the pest can be watched easily and reliably with the help of yellow bowls which have already proved themselves useful in the supervision of other pests. Catches with the help of these bowls indicate a critical stage of infestation as well as a suitable date for pest control that can be geared to the development of flea-beetle. In this way unnecessary and illtimed control measures can be avoided. The possibility of using the catches in bowls as threshold figures in pest control will need further study
