This paper is a further contribution on the research project of the "Landesanstalt fuer Pflanzenschutz, Stuttgart". As being indicated previously, the objective of these long term studies is to develop an integrated management system (IMS) for arable farming. The experimental design is concepted to compare the economical and ecological influence of a defined IM-system with that of a conventional one. In this contribution, only "farm economics" are considered. The analysis is based on 5 years data. Using a statistical method for comparison of differences, the major economic figures of both production systems are collated. The results show neither significant differences in the yields between both production systems nor in the labor requirement (tab. 6). On the other hand, there is a significant reduction of costs of "chemical pest control" following the IMS averaging to 38 per cent and of the variable machinery costs averaging to 3,8 per cent. As a final result, the "gross margin" of the integrated management system is found to be slightly higher (4,8 per cent, not significant) than that of the conventional one
