A study on the establishment of shell egg grading standard in Korea

This study was carried out to establish Korean egg grading standard. Total 397,418 eggs were investigated to classify weight class and determine shell egg quality. Egg grading system consisted of weight class and quality grade. Seven weight classes were classified according to egg weight distribution, and four quality grades were established by exterior quality and candling characteristics
