Good farmland utilization was shown to be a combination of several factors such as good or medium quality of farmland, large capital inputs, high level of farming, sufficient supply of labour and a high percentage of cash crops in the structure of the cropped land. Statistical methods to evaluate the intensity of farmland utilization are discussed and a survey of the problem is provided on a region-to-region basis
