Nutrient uptake of coconut during dry season [Philippines]

Analysis of soil collected from selected areas planted to coconut in Sariaya, Quezon [Philippines] showed that the soil had available phosphorus with mean of 625.25 ppm F1 and exchangeable potassium of 1.97 ml/100 g soil. Exchangeable calcium was 17.84 and magnesium was 13.12 m.e./100 g. Soil pH was relatively neutral with a mean of 7.05. Soil texture was relatively coarse with textural class ranging from sandy loam to silty clay loam. The mean organic matter content of the soil was 1.64 percent. Tissue analysis revealed that the leaf had a mean phosphorus content of 0.30%, P; 0.10% potassium; 1.97% caldium; and 0.67% magnesium
