Subclinical acidosis resulting from disturbances in acid base equilibrium increased the number of cows affected with placental retention, parturient paresis, delayed involution of the uterus, endometritis and ovarian disorders. Application of NaHCO3 can limit the effects of inappropriate feeding before parturition
