Effect of quantity of NPK fertilizer doses on the yield of gerbera cv. Appelbloesem

shThe highest yield for gerbera Appelbloesem cv. was obtained in a range of 1-2 g of NPK fertilizers per 1 litre of peat. The higher dose of fertilizers resulted in a significant reduction in the number of flowers harvested, stem length and inflorescence diameter. An estimation of the nutrition level of gerbera can be performed by determining the total content of elements in leaves or their mineral forms extracted with 2% acetic acid. The optimal total content of macroelements in leaves of gerbera was as follows: N 2.52-2.76%, P 0.32-0.42% and K 3.75-5
