Regeneration of forest is one of the most energy consuming processes in the forest production. The energy expenditure has been expressed in fuel consumed by tractors for removal of post-cutting residues, ploughing cultivation of furrows and planting. The present technology used in forest regeneration requires 2000-6000 MJ per one ha of regenerated area depending on the type of fuel and the distance between the area and the place of garaging. A lower expenditure of energy can be obtained by aggregating the machines with a tractor of the lowest possible mass, reducing the across distance to the regenerated area and using multi-purpose and multiple furrow machines
