Rooting pattern of primary and secondary roots in air and mound layered pecans

The highest number and the longest primary plus secondary roots were obtained using 2500 ppm IBA, whereas 5000 ppm IBA was responsible for the production of maximum primary and secondary root diameter in air layers. In the case of mound layering, IBA at 2500 ppm also produced maximum primary root number, length, longer main root, secondary root number and its length. Maximum diameter of primary roots and secondary roots was obtained using 5000 ppm concentration of IBA
