Effect of tuber seed storage in diffuse light storage on yield of potato

An experiment was conducted to compare the effect of diffuse light and dark storage of tuber seed on yield of potato. This experiment was carried out in high land West Java, Ciwidey (1080 m above sea level) on farmer field in both dry and wet season. A Randomized Block Design of non factorial with two storage methods in 12 replications on each season was used. The result indicated that the seed tuber from diffuse light storage increased potato tuber yield from 17 to 26 percents higher than that of using tuber seed of dark storage in both dry and wet seasons. More big size of potato tuber yield was obtained using the seed tuber of light diffuse storage.
