Extreme weather conditions, e.g. hail, may occasionally entail premature harvest of cereals being just treated with pesticides. The harvested green crop can only be used as feed. To clarify the residue behaviour wheat was treated with selected fungicides and insecticides in outdoor and laboratory trials and ensiled in gas-tight laboratory silos for 180 days. Lindane, triadimenol and propiconazole did not decompose during this time whereas the concentration of anilazine decreased rapidly.
