Fertilization of pears (Pyrus communis L.) cultivars Passe Crasanne, Williams' Bon Chretien, Packham's Triumph and Bosc with different pollinators

Cvs. 'Passe Crasanne', 'Williams' Bon Chretien', 'Packham's Triumph' and 'Bosc' were pollinated with different pollinators in Bistrica ob Sotli and Globoko in years 1991 and 1992. Pollination was expressed as fruit set with reference to number of pollinated flowers. For cv. 'Passe Crasanne' were the best pollinators cv. 'Williams' Bon Chretien' (3.7% in year 1991 and 2.9% in year 1992) and cv. 'Bosc' (3.5% in year 1991 and 2.8% in year 1992). Cv. 'Williams' Bon Chretien' was given satisfactory results by pollination with cv. 'Passe Crasanne' (2.9%), 'Bosc' (3.0%), 'Clairgeau' (4.7% and 8.0%), 'Conference' (5.3%), 'Druard' (5.6%) and 'General LeClerc' (6.9%). Different pollinators had high influence on fructification and partenocarpic fruit set. Cv. 'Bosc' was partially self fertile because the fruit set were 3.8% in year 1991. Cv. 'Bosc' had 60% partenocarpic fruit set
