[The trials, carried out in two years climatically different (1990-1991) in an environment similar to many pedoclimatic situations in central Italy, confirmed the importance of maize intercropping after winter cereals. The following topics were examined: production, humidity at harvest, grain per spike, spikes damaged by insects. Some hybrids showed higher productions in 1990: 80-110 q/ha at 14% of humidity.
