Ephemeral lakes are providing a potential resource for farmers in parts of inland Australia. But can these areas support both cropping and wildlife? Scientists and landholders are working together to investigate the impact of lakebed cropping on wetland and dryland fauna and to develop guidelines to manage any potential conflicts.
