Bananas collected from different producing areas of Thailand showed different rates of anthracnose disease incidence. Diseased fruit produced higher amounts of carbon dioxide and ethylene than healthy fruit. Fruit dipped for 3 min. in imazalil at 250 ppm was found to be the most effective control measure.
