The 2 broad objectives of Victoria's Sustainable Agriculture Strategy are to develop and promote sustainable farming systems that are economically competitive, and to raise awareness of the economic and environmental importance of sustainable agriculture among farmers and the general community. The projects funded in the strategy are described, listing their achievements and future directions. The 6 projects are: support to LandCare groups; dairy waste management; sustainable farming systems in Victorian cropping zones; use of geographic information systems; agroforestry and revegetation; and soil management.
