The aim of the experiment was to study the influence of different chemical forms of dietary cadmium on haematological parameters, phagocytic activity and activities of disaccharidases localized in rat jejunal enterocytes. The experimental animals were fed for 51 days diets with addition of feeding yeast Candida utilis with low (3 mg/kg) and high (60 mg/kg) content of organically bound cadmium or with diets enriched with inorganic cadmium (CdCl2). Significantly lower (P0.05) values of phagocytic index were found in the groups with yeast addition. Notable simulation (P0.01) of sucrase activity was measured in group 5 (standard diet + CdCl2) compared to the control group. Lactase activity was inhibited (P0.05) in group 4 (3 mg Cd/kg in yeast + CdCl2). Glucoamylase activity was stimulated (P0.01) in groups 2 (3 mg Cd/kg in yeast), 3 (60 mg/kg in yeast) and (standard diet + CdCl2).
