Pregnancy diagnosis in dairy goats and cows using progesterone assay kits [of milk]

Enzyme immunoassay of milk, designed for cows, gave pregnancy diagnosis accuracy in the goat of 83-88 percent, and of non-pregnancy 80-100. In cows, the corresponding accuracies were 66-68 and 91-91 percent. Possible sources of error are discussed.
