Relationship among moisture regimes, quality of water and yields of celery on sandy loam

Water balance and quality were studied on the sandy loam using set of ten lysimeters in celery stands. The results of one-year measurements showed significant dependence of NO3-, SO42-, Cl-, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ ions concentration on moisture regimes or groundwater table (GWT). The concentration of the bivalent ions dropped and that of the monovalent ions (with the exception of NO3-) grew with the increasing GWT.
