The document is a project report of an investigation into the development potential of the Sesfontein/Khowarib basin and the utilisation of the surface groundwater in the Khowarib Schlucht. It is presented in two parts: Part A is a project summary including an executive summary, findings and recommendations, the action plan, projects, schedules, photos, locality maps and project priority list. Part B is the body of the report and consists of the sectoral reports, maps, references and appendices. The project was designed as a multidisciplinary study comprising of professionals from the private sector, parastatals and the public sector. The findings and recommendations can be grouped under 4 major headings: Agriculture, Water resources, Tourism and Wildlife and the Infrastructure. The report is well illustrated with many coloured photos and maps.
