Attempt at modelling the production of freshwater fishes of the Vistula Lagoon taking into account trophic relations

A multispecies stock-production model is used to describe the dynamics of fish resources in the Vistula Lagoon (Poland) in 1976-95. The biomass of pikeperch, bream, perch and roach amounted in 1995 to 1200-1700 t, 3800-2400 t, 50-90 t and 240-600 t, respectively, depending on the assumptions adopted in the model. The biomass of pikeperch, bream and perch decreased about twofold, and the biomass of roach decreased by about 15 percentage (in relation to the values in 1976)
