DAINet and information on biological diversity

The difficulty in searching for subject specific information is to find an address depending on its content. For this reason search cataloques in combination with search engines are responsible for access and short functions. With the German Agricultural Information Network (DAINet) the Centre for Agricultural Documentation and Information (ZADI) has developed the worldwide largest search cataloque for online information source on food, agriculture and forestry. In the meantime the meta information system DAINet refers to over 8.000 information sources. With more than 200.000 requests per month the DAINet is a central navigation, reference and information platform for online information on food, agriculture and forestry. Together with the Informationssystem on Genetic Resources (GENRES, http://www.dainet.de/bmu-cbd) offers DAINet to any user an open and diverse searchfacility to information on genetic resources as well as on biological diversity

Немецкий. Ueber das Internet sind weltweit unzaehlige Informationsbestaende zugaenglich, wenn deren Adresse bekannt ist. Die Schwierigkeit der gezielten Informationssuche liegt im Auffinden einer Adresse, an der ein gesuchter Inhalt vorzufindenist. Aus diesem Grunde uebernehmen Suchkataloge in Verbindung mit Suchmaschinen wichtige Zugriffs- und Ordnungsfunktionen. Die Zentralstelle fuer Agrardokumentation und -information (ZADI) hat mit dem Deutschen Agrarinformationsnetz (DAINet, http://www.dainet.de) den weltweit groessten Suchkatalog fuer Informationen der Land-, Forst- und Ernaehrungswirtschaft entwickelt. Als Metainformationssystem aufgebaut, verweist DAINet mittlerweile auf ueber 8.000 Informationsquellen. Mit ueber 200.000 monatlichen Seitenzugriffen ist DAINet damit die zentrale Navigations- Verweis- und Informationsplattform fuer Online-Informationen in der Land-, Forst- und Ernaehrungswirtschaft.
