The growth and state of health of pine plantations planted by various planting stock and by various planting techniques (into holes, by planting bar, by planting machine, natural regeneration) were investigated on sandy soils in the region Polabi (Tyniste). Results occurred in 5 to 6-year-old plantations showed still noticeable influence of initial size of used planting stock. Health state of plants - particularly damage by Armillaria mellea - occurred in the case of growing and planting techniques that cause higher occurrence of root deformations. The least damage occurred in natural regeneration.
