Soil compaction caused by the traffic of tractors equipped with tracks of different type and effects on the crop yield [Medicago sativa L.]

In the present memory the AA show the results of field compaction tests carried out to compare two tractors of elevated power equipped with different type of tracks, one with rubber tracks Ch 35 and one with metal tracks FA 150. The tests were carried out on cultivated soil with alfalfa meadow in order to establish the effects of the soil compaction resulting from 1.3 and 4 passes of the tractor on the same track and on which the reliefs have been effected. It was found that the multiple passes carried out with the two tractors have induced very similar effects in the soil as regards the results for soil penetration resistance and dry bulk density. A great decrease of the porosity was found, particularly of the elongated pores and in the soil surface layer in the treatments related to the rubber tracked tractor, in comparison to those related to the metal tracked tractor. Nella presente memoria gli AA presentano i risultati di prove in campo di compattamento dove sono state poste a confronto due trattrici di elevata potenza con diverso tipo di cingolatura, una con cingoli flessibili in gomma Ch 35 ed una con cingoli rigidi in metallo FA 150. Le prove sono state effettute su terreno coperto da prato di erba medica, al fine di stabilire gli effetti del compattamento dopo 1.3 e 4 passaggi della trattrice sulla stessa orma e sulla quale sono stati effettuati i rilievi. E' stato rilevato che passaggi multipli effettuati con le due trattrici hanno indotto nel terreno effetti molto simili per quanto riguarda i risultati relativi sia alla resistenza, sia alla penetrazione, sia alla massa volumica apparente. Si e' avuta una maggiore diminuzione della porosita', in particolare dei pori allungati e nello strato superficiale del terreno, nelle tesi relative alla trattrice con cingoli in gomma rispetto a quelle relative alla trattrice con cingoli in ferro.
