The solid fraction of pig slurry from large-capacity pig fattening farm was obtained in the first stage of the treatment of slurry. The separated solids were amended with natural zeolite (1 and 2 percent kg by weight) and stired for 12 weeks at ambient temperature under anaerobic and partially aerobic conditions achieved by mixing of the substrates after 3 weeks and 6 weeks of storage. The process of stabilization was investigated by means of determination of pH (in water extract), dry matter content (105 deg C), ash (550 deg C), total nitrogen and total phosphorus. The temperature in the core of the substrates was recorded in 1 h intervals. The results obtained indicate an unequivocal effect of zeolite on the decomposition processes, reflected in all the parameters investigated, particularly the pH value and ash content
