Influence of cytokinins, thidiazuron, pactobutrazol and red lighton shoot proliferation of herbaceous peony cv. Jadwiga in vitro

All cytokinins and TDZ, used separately, stimulated axillary bud development however the multiplication rate was very low. The highest concentration of BAP and TDZ had an influence on leaf deformation but kinetin and 2iP allowed the development of normal leaves. Applocation of TDZ with BAP and paclobutrazol with BAP or separately did not stimulate axillary shoot development. Axillary shoot formation was significantly enhanced by the addition of TDZ in a very low concentration to the medium containing a mixture of BAP + 2iP + kinetin. Red light did not improve growth and proliferation of shoots
