There have been efforts to use an integrated form of fly control, i.e. to use such a combination of the highest possible number of preparations which would allow us to reach the highest possible disinfectant effect at the lowest price and little load on the environment. The experiments proved high effectiveness of cold aerosols of pyrethrum and synthetic pyrethroids also on flies exhibiting high resistance not only to the ingredients mentioned but also to organophosphates and carbamates. The advantage of aerosols consist in their high knock-down effect, however, their short residual action (24 h) causes a disadvantage. The use of insecticidal baits after the action of aerosols had faded away reduced the fly populations in cattle herds by 60 percent
