Micronutrients (B, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Zn) content of sugar beet, cropped under increasing NPK fertilization level was investigated in 6 strict field experiments carried out in the years 1995-97. Treatments of 0, 1/2, 1 and 2 of basic NPK dose = (150 kg N; 44 kg P; 133 kg K per ha) were tested in the experiments. Yields of beet roots and leaves were determined. Leaves collected in the period 25.06-15.07 (test parts), and roots at harvest made the plant material for chemical analyses. Soil arable layers of the experimental plots were also sampled after harvest. The dose of 1/2 NPK caused a statistically significant increase both roots and leaves mean yields. Further increments of beet tops yields has been observed under treatments with higher NPK doses, while no significant rise of roots yield was obtained
