Application of time series analysis to forecasting of electric energy sale to rural customers

Possibilities of application of the time series analysis with an intervention to modelling and forecasting the sale of electric energy to rural customers, were considered in this study. The computations were based on the data on two-month energy sale within 1982-99 by a chosen energy distribution company. The model, developed according to the Box-Jenkins' method, represented precisely the course of electric energy sale providing consistent forecasts and enabled to study the influence of external factors on the sale volume
