Carbon - nitrogen and energy balance of heavy pigs fed diets with restricted protein and energy content

Английский. [Six castrated males Landrace x Large White pigs of 135 kg LW were fed three diets with different protein and energy content, in a Latine square experimental design. On the basis of proximate composition of raw materials, diets were: control (C) 15.3% CP and 12.6 MJ ME/kg; reduced protein content (LP) 11.3% CP and 12.6 MJ ME/kg; protein and energy reduced content (LPE) 11.3% and 12.1 MJ ME/kg. Administered DM was 7.2% of LW sup 0.75 at start and 6.3% of LW sup 0.75 at the end of the experiment. CUDa of DM, OM and energy was significantly higher with LP and LPE, compared with C. LPE diet, with a higher bran content, showed a higher NDF digestibility and caused a decrease of methane production. Compared with C, LP and LPE diets produced a 33% reduction of N excretion (54.2 vs 36.3 and 36.9 g/d; P = 0.01). Sei suini Landrace x Large White maschi castrati di 135 kg PV sono stati alimentati con tre diete a diverso contenuto proteico ed energetico, secondo un disegno sperimentale a quadrato latino. In base ai valori tabulati per le singole materie prime, le diete risultavano cosi' formulate: dieta controllo (C) 15,3% PG e 12,6 MJ EM/kg; dieta a ridotto tenore proteico (LP) 11,3% PG e 12,6 MJ EM/kg; dieta a ridotto tenore proteico ed energetico (LPE) 11,3% PG e 12,1 MJ EM/kg. La SS somministrata e' stata pari al 7,2% del PV sup 0,75 a inizio prova e al 6,3% del PV sup 0,75 a fine prova. Il CUDa di SS, SO ed energia e' risultato significativamente maggiore con le diete LP e LPE rispetto a C. La dieta LPE, a fronte di un maggior contenuto di crusca, ha evidenziato una maggiore digeribilita' dell'NDF e ha fatto registrare una minore produzione di metano. Rispetto alla dieta C, le diete LP e LPE hanno determinato una riduzione del 33% circa dell'azoto escreto (54,2 vs 36,3 e 36,9 g/d; P = 0.01). Non si sono registrate differenze significative relativamente all'energia ritenuta dai suini e alla concentrazione energetica (ED, EM ed EN) delle tre diete
