The economic transformation in Poland meant, besides other activities, the reconstruction of the institutional structure, the change of the role of existing institutions and the establishment of completely new institution and organisations. The Agency for the Modernization and Restructuring of Agriculture is one of such institution, formed at the end of 1993 to support structural changes in agriculture and the food economy with the help of means coming form different sources, but mainly from the state budget
