The detailed observations of duration of all imaginal life and of the several life activities of 12 species of ground-nesting solitary bees were performed in rearing conditions at Pulawy during three years. The investigated species were: Melitta leporina Panz., M. hispanica Friese, Rhophitoides canus Ev., Anthophora quadrimaculata Panz., Amegilla quadrifasciata Vill., Eucera longicornis L., E. interrupta Baer, E. polonica Ruszk., Tetralonia dentata Klug, Melitturga clavicornis Latr., Andrena gelriae Vecht., A. ovatula Kibry. The females of these bees lived (depended upon a species) 1-53 days, the males 1-22 days. The males emerged earlier than the females and they lived shorter. The time of builiding a nest was also investigated. This time amounted for different bee species 1-36 days
