The investigations were carried out on 3 groups of ewes with single lambs: Suffolk n=54, R1 crossbreeds (Polish Merino x Suffolk) n=53 and R2 (R1 x Suffolk) n=55. Using control hand milking with oxytocin technique in 4th, 8th and 12th week of lactation examined genotypes of ewes were compared in respect of milk yield and fat, protein and lactose content. The data were worked out statistically by means of the least squares method. Suffolk ewes, as compared with crossbred ewes produced more milk yield and lactose content an increase in fat content. The highest milk productivity of ewes were in 3rd lactation. Intake of milk per 1 kg body weight gain of lamb ranged form 3.34 to 5.70 kg, and differences between groups were insignificant
