Effect of 6-benzylaminopurine and sodium humate on pepper regeneration in vitro

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) and sodium humate (HNa) on morphogenetic potential of "Stanola F1" pepper cultivar. The imbibed half-seeds of pepper containing the proximal part of the hypocotyl and the radicle have been used as explants. The preculture as well as the initial Murashige and Skoog medium contained BAP or HNa. Preculture in H2O or HNa solution and BAP in initial medium increased the number of explants with adventitious buds. Shoot formation depended mainly on BAP used in the preculture or initial medium.
