The analysis conducted of the state of the cropping area, animal breading, the use of fertilizers, soil fertility in assimilable forms of phosphorous and potassium, as well as the amounts of yields received in the years 1985-99 indicates that the marked decrease of rates of nutrients and organic matter in the years 1990-99 did not drastically decrease the yields of plants. This probably resulted from the use of nutrients from the soil resources by plants. The so far used level of fertilization may decrease the fertility and productivity of the soils in the future. This is supported by the appearance in the last years of a negative balance of potassium (-22 kg/ha) and a small positive balance of phosphorous (+0.5 kg/ha). In the last years, the participation of soils of a very high content of assimilable forms of phosphorous and potassium decreased as well. Additionally, the area of soils of a low and very low content of phosphorous and potassium increased
