Comparison of efficiency distribution of two sprayers (conventional sprayer and innovating sprayer) with different settings [vineyards - Tuscany]

Present strategies have the aim of optimising the distribution of plant protection products and reducing dispersion into the environment; in this context the present study tests the efficiency, in terms of chemicals deposited, of a conventional sprayer (GEO) and a recently developed one (Oktopus). As an aid to defining the distribution profiles, a test bench with patternator lamellae was used, giving the possibility of measuring the quantity of product that the sprayer applies in the different vertical sections. For both periods considered, the results show a greater single deposition after using the anti-drift nozzles of the Oktopus sprayer, both compared with the other nozzles and with the other machine. For the latter, the best test was the one using "projection within the section", that estimates the transverse path of the droplets in the canopy

I nuovi obiettivi produttivi in agricoltura sono tesi a garantire prioritariamente la qualita' di processo e di prodotto; in tale contesto, le pratiche di difesa delle colture costituiscono un anello fondamentale nella determinazione del livello di "qualita' globale". La ricerca ha avuto come scopo il confronto dell'efficienza applicativa di una irroratrice convenzionale (GEO), rispetto ad una macchina di recente tecnologia (Oktopus), mediante la comparazione dei depositi sul filare, con l'adozione di differenti tarature operative determinate mediante l'impiego di un banco prova a lamelle verticali. Per entrambi i periodi considerati, i risultati mostrano un maggiore deposito dovuto all'impiego di ugelli antideriva sul modello Oktopus, sia rispetto agli altri ugelli montati sulla medesima macchina, sia rispetto all'altra irroratrice. Per questa il profilo migliore si e' rivelato essere la taratura "proiezione su fascia", determinata sul percorso trasversale che le goccioline compiono all'interno della vegetazione
