Evaluation of Triticale Breeding Material in Terms of Some Quality Traits

This study was conducted to determine the quality traits of the triticale genotypes in preliminary yield, yield and advanced yield trials at different locations in rainfed conditions in 2010-2015 and in order to evaluate as selection criteria. In this study, some quality traits (Thousand kernel weight, test weight, protein content and SDS sedimentation value) were investigated. Quality analyzes of a total of 1020 triticale samples were made over a 5-year period, and 195 genotypes were transferred to further stages. 195 genotypes to advanced levels. When the pre-yield, yield and advanced yield trials are fully taken into consideration the average change intervals of the examined traits in the 5-year period; thousand kernel weight 24.80-48.20 g, protein content 10.02-16.32%, test weight 54.75-79.13 kg and SDS sedimentation 10.00-24.00 ml were determined as. Mean values of the selected lines; thousand kernel weight was 38.09 g, test weight was 72.54 kg, protein content was 12.06% and SDS sedimentation value was 16.80 ml.
