En los últimos años, el concepto de conflicto ambiental ha tomado fuerza en las diferentes discusiones que se han dado en torno al aprovechamiento, explotación y gestión de los recursos naturales en un determinado territorio. Esta disputa puede presentarse en cualquier momento. Sin embargo, suele percibirse erróneamente como una situación ajena a las grandes urbes del país. El presente trabajo tuvo como finalidad identificar y caracterizar los diferentes conflictos ambientales que se encontraban presentes en la localidad de Engativá en la ciudad de Bogotá D.C. hasta el año 2020. Para ello, se determinaron tres objetivos específicos que permitieron entender la dinámica de los mismos en el territorio. Adicionalmente se propuso un marco referencial dividido en: marco teórico, marco legal y maco contextual con el fin de nutrir la investigación con diferentes puntos de vista y referencias bibliográficas. Es así como a través de diferentes fuentes tanto primarias como secundarias, se logró identificar y describir cada uno de los conflictos ambientales presentes, su evolución histórica y la influencia que estos han tenido sobre la sociedad en diferentes ámbitos como el económico, social y cultural. Ahora bien, esta investigación se realizó bajo el método cualitativo descriptivo y tuvo como metodología de trabajo tres fases principales que buscaron cumplir cada uno de los objetivos específicos planteados para dicha investigación. Para la recolección de datos se utilizaron diferentes métodos y herramientas de recolección dentro de los cuales se encuentra la revisión documental y bibliográfica, el diario de campo, entrevistas y cartografía social. Igualmente, se emplearon herramientas para la sistematización de datos como la matriz de datos y fichas de funciones. Por último, el trabajo contó con las conclusiones de la investigación realizada.

In recent years, the concept of environmental conflict has gained strength in the different discussions that have taken place around the use, exploitation and management of natural resources in a given territory. This dispute may be filed at any time. However, it is often mistakenly perceived as a situation alien to the country's cities. The purpose of this work was to identify and characterize the different environmental conflicts that were present in the town of Engativá in the city of Bogotá D.C. until the year 2020. For this, three specific objectives were determined that allowed us to understand their dynamics in the territory. Additionally, a referential framework divided into: theoretical framework, legal framework and contextual framework was proposed in order to nurture the research with different points of view and bibliographical references. This is how, through different primary and secondary sources, it was possible to identify and describe each of the present environmental conflicts, their historical evolution and the influence they have had on society in different areas such as economic, social and cultural. Now, this research was carried out under the descriptive qualitative method and had three main phases as a working methodology that sought to meet each of the specific objectives set for said research. For data collection, different methods and collection tools were used, among which is the documentary and bibliographic review, the field diary, interviews and social cartography. Likewise, tools for the systematization of data were used, such as the data matrix and function sheets. Finally, the work had the conclusions of the research carried out.
